The actor, whose bond with the deity started early on in life, says that the competition “is basically particular” and it leaves her nostalgic, as she has grown up seeing her mom observe the festive custom. “My mum used to maintain Ganpati at our Delhi dwelling for 3 to 5 days. We used to benefit from the decorations, puja, prasad, individuals coming over, after which the visarjan within the Yamuna. So the competition is basically particular for me.”

The actor, who was final seen in 12th Fail (2023), moved to Mumbai six years in the past. She says she enjoys the festive fervour that grips town throughout the Ganesha celebrations. “I used to remain in Marine Strains and loved watching the processions on the visarjan days. It could be enormous, with 1000’s of individuals on the streets with dhol, dance, music, and exquisite Ganesha idols being carried for visarjan. I’d watch from the balcony and benefit from the vibe. I really feel he’s all the time with me.” Speaking about her join with Ganesha, she shares, “He feels so welcoming and heat. Bahut apnapan sa really feel hota hai.
