9 Together with DRG Jawans Killed In IED Blast In Chhattisgarhs Bijapur

Not less than 9 individuals, together with eight Dantewada District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans and one driver, had been killed after their car was blown up by Naxals by means of an improvised explosive machine (IED) blast in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Monday, police mentioned.

In accordance with Bastar Inspector Basic (IG) Sundarraj P, the jawans had been coming back from a joint operation of Dantewada, Narayanpur, and Bijapur police when the blast occurred.

The incident befell close to Ambeli village below the Kutru police station when the safety personnel had been returning of their Scorpio car after an anti-Naxalite operation, Inspector Basic of Police (Bastar Vary) Sundarraj P mentioned.

The DRG is a unit of the state police. That is the largest strike on safety personnel by Naxalites within the final two years, an official mentioned.

On April 26, 2023, ten police personnel and a civilian driver had been killed after Naxals blew up their car, which was a part of a convoy carrying safety personnel in neighbouring Dantewada district.
