BJP Hits Out At CM Pinarayi Vijayan After Kerala Appoints ‘Overseas Secretary’

New Delhi: Reacting to the Kerala authorities appointing a ‘overseas secretary’ for the state, Bharatiya Janata Social gathering (BJP) State president Ok Surendran criticised the Pinarayi Vijayan-led Kerala authorities and stated it’s a “blatant overreach” and a violation of the Union Listing of the Structure.

Ok Surendran shared a publish on the microblogging website X and stated, “The appointment of an IAS officer as ‘Overseas Secretary’ in Kerala by CM Pinarayi Vijayan is a blatant overreach and a violation of the Union checklist of our Structure.” 

Describing the motion as “unconstitutional,” the BJP chief questioned whether or not the intention was to ascertain Kerala as a “separate nation.”

“The LDF authorities has no mandate in overseas affairs. This unconstitutional transfer units a harmful precedent. Is CM @pinarayivijayan attempting to ascertain Keralam as a separate nation?” he questioned.

Nevertheless, the Kerala authorities has assigned further duties associated to Exterior Cooperation to Ok Vasuki, who serves as Secretary of the Labour and Abilities Division.

The order talked about that the Resident Commissioner at Kerala Home within the nationwide capital will help Ok Vasuki in issues associated to Exterior Cooperation, coordinating with the Ministry of Exterior Affairs, Missions, and Embassies.

“The Basic Administration (Political) Division will deal the topics associated to exterior co-operation and can help Dr. Ok Vasuki IAS until alternate preparations are made. The Resident Commissioner, Kerala Home, New Delhi will assist the officer within the issues of Exterior Co-operation, to liaise with the Ministry of Exterior Affairs, Missions and Embassies and so on,” the order talked about.
