Two personnel of the Indian Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been killed and different two policemen have been additionally injured after Naxalites carried out an improvised explosive gadget (IED) blast on Saturday in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district, police stated.
The incident passed off round 12 midday close to Kodliyar village within the Abujhmaad space whereas joint groups of safety personnel have been conducting an anti-Naxal operation, in keeping with a police official, PTI reported.
The personnel from the ITBP, Border Safety Pressure (BSF), and District Reserve Guard of police have been concerned within the operation launched from the Orchha, Irakbhatti, and Mohandi areas, he stated.
The blast passed off when patrolling groups have been returning after the operation. The 4 injured personnel have been moved to hospital, the official stated.
“Two ITBP personnel succumbed to accidents whereas the situation of the injured policemen was said to be out of hazard,” he stated, PTI reported.
The deceased have been recognized as Amar Panwar (36) from Sata, Maharashtra and Ok Rajesh (36) from Kadappa, Karnataka. He added that each have been members of the 53rd battalion of the ITBP.
