NEW DELHI: As reported by Timesofindia.com, Chennai Tremendous Kings (CSK) have retained Ruturaj Gaikwad, Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja and the legendary MS Dhoni, forward of the Indian Premier League (IPL) public sale in November.
MS Dhoni falls beneath the class of uncapped participant as he hasn’t been part of the beginning XI in a global match within the final 5 years and final performed for India within the 2019 ODI World Cup.

This is what CSK spent to retain the above-mentioned gamers:
Retention 1: Ruturaj Gaikwad for INR 18 Crore
Retention 2: Matheesha Pathirana for INR 13 Crore
Retention 3: Shivam Dube for INR 12 Crore
Retention 4: Ravindra Jadeja for INR 18 Crore
Retention 5: MS Dhoni for INR Four Crore
The sum of the above, INR 65, shall be deducted from the full public sale purse of INR 120 crore for IPL 2025.
Based on the IPL Participant Rules launched by the IPL Governing Council earlier, the IPL franchises have been allowed to retain a complete of six gamers from their current squad (a most of 5 capped gamers and a most of two uncapped gamers) both by way of retention or by utilizing the Proper to Match (RTM) choice throughout the public sale.
