Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant issued an apology on Saturday after a whole lot of criticism over a comment perceived as sexist towards Shaina NC, a frontrunner of the Shiv Sena faction led by Eknath Shinde.
Sawant expressed remorse for any harm his feedback could have induced, stating that his phrases have been “tweaked” and misconstrued. “If somebody was harm by my assertion, I apologise to them. I’ve by no means insulted girls in my 55 years of political profession,” he stated.
Sawant emphasised that he had not particularly named anybody in his feedback, and stated that the backlash was politically motivated. “I had no such intentions, I did not even take anybody’s identify,” he added.
Sanjay Raut Defends Sawant
