Taiwan’s Ministry of Nationwide Defence (MND) reported Chinese language navy exercise on Friday, detecting eight Folks’s Liberation Military (PLA) plane, 9 Folks’s Liberation Military Navy (PLAN) vessels and one official ship.
The Ministry of Defence said that the plane, vessels and the ship working round Taiwan have been detected up till 6 am (UTC+8).
In response to their publish on the social media platform X, “Eight PLA plane, 9 PLAN vessels and 1 official ship working round Taiwan have been detected up till 6 a.m. (UTC+8) at present. four of the plane crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern and southwestern ADIZ. We’ve monitored the state of affairs and responded accordingly.”
The Ministry stated that it has monitored the state of affairs and is responding accordingly.

Earlier, Taiwan President Lai Ching-te convened a high-level nationwide safety convention during which he assured the general public in regards to the authorities’s dedication to neutralising any menace to Taiwan’s democracy and safety after China staged a large-scale navy drill across the island.
He made his remarks in response to the Chinese language Folks’s Liberation Military’s (PLA) announcement of navy drills, named “Joint Sword-2024B,” within the Taiwan Strait and surrounding areas, which have been described as a “stern warning” to advocates of Taiwan independence, based on the Taipei Instances.
