New Delhi: The Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Agrim thwarted an abduction try by the Pakistan Maritime Safety in a high-stakes maritime encounter. The Islamabad’s vessel PMS Nusrat had illegally apprehended seven Indian fisherman from boat Kaal Bhairav close to the maritime boundary line between India and Pakistan.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) obtained a misery sign from an Indian fishing boat working close to the No-Fishing Zone (NFZ), in line with an official launch.
The Coast Guard promptly responded by dispatching a vessel to the location close to the India-Pakistan Maritime Boundary. ICGS Agrim aggressively pursued the Pakistani vessel in a tense two-hour chase. After retrieving all seven fishermen, the Coast Guard ship issued a stern warning to PMS Nusrat, that not at all would it not permit such abduction.

In line with an announcement by the ICG, the fishermen have been discovered to be “in secure medical situation” following their retrieval. Nevertheless, the ICG confirmed that the Indian fishing boat Kal Bhairav, central to the incident, was “reported to have been broken and sunk in the course of the incident.”
“Indian Coast Guard ship Agrim deployed near the maritime boundary line with Pakistan chased the Pakistan Maritime Safety Company ship PMS Nusrat after a chase of round two hours and clearly instructed them that beneath no situation, it might permit the Pakistani ship to remove Indian fishermen from fishing boat Kaal Bhairav from Indian waters,” defence officers instructed information company ANI.
Regardless of the PMSA ship’s makes an attempt to withdraw, the ICG vessel intercepted it and compelled its crew to launch the Indian fishermen.
