Jammu: Police on Thursday arrested two terror associates allegedly conspiring to execute subversive actions in Doda and Udhampur districts of Jammu and Kashmir, officers stated.
A police staff arrested a hardcore terror affiliate named Firdous Ahmed Wani from the Dandi space in Doda district’s Bhaderwah belt based mostly on credible intelligence, they stated.
The accused was reportedly in touch with terrorist handlers throughout the border by means of varied social media platforms. He was actively working to revive militancy in Doda by establishing a foothold for anti-national components within the space, officers stated.
An intensive search of the suspect and his residence led to the restoration of incriminating supplies and paperwork, which have been seized for additional investigation, they added.
The accused was allegedly conspiring to execute subversive actions in and round Doda in collaboration with energetic terrorists and handlers working from Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (POK), police stated.
In one other operation, police arrested a hardcore terror affiliate below the stringent Public Security Act (PSA) in Udhampur, officers stated.
The accused has been recognized as Abdul Satar from Ponara Soni, who was concerned in a number of terror circumstances, working as an energetic information and facilitator for terrorist organisations till his arrest, they added.
A number of FIRs had been registered towards him on the Basantgarh police station, police stated.
