New Delhi: Aam Aadami Celebration (AAP) chief Satyendar Jain has lodged a legal defamation case towards BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj. Jain has filed a grievance accusing Swaraj of constructing defamatory statements towards him throughout a broadly seen TV interview on October 5, 2023. In accordance with Jain, the remarks reached tens of millions of viewers. 

A Delhi courtroom has scheduled December 16 to resolve on taking cognisance of a legal defamation grievance filed by AAP chief Satyendar Jain towards BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj. Further Chief Judicial Justice of the Peace Neha Mittal introduced, “I’ll go the order on December 16.” 

What Does Jain’s Grievance Say 

In his grievance, Jain alleged that Swaraj falsely claimed Rs three crore, 1.eight kg of gold, and 133 gold cash had been recovered from his home. He accused her of constructing these remarks to tarnish his fame and achieve political benefit. The grievance additionally acknowledged that Swaraj labeled Jain as ‘corrupt’ and ‘fraud,’ additional defaming him. 

The grievance additional alleges that the accused has severely broken the complainant’s fame. The smear marketing campaign, it states, has impacted him as a husband, father, brother, good friend, and member of society, whereas tarnishing his beforehand unblemished political picture. 

The complainant’s character and fame have been severely impacted by the baseless allegations made by the accused. The harm, each to his standing as an elected consultant and as a person, is claimed to be immeasurable.
