The disagreement erupted between Congress and BJP on Monday after Wayanad MP and Congress common secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra carried a bag that had ‘Palestine’ emblazoned on it, a gesture in help for the individuals of the conflict-hit area.
In parliament, the Congress chief was seen carrying a purse emblazoned with the phrase “Palestine” and Palestinian emblems.
Congress spokesperson Dr. Shama Mohammed shared an image on X of Vadra displaying her bag and mentioned, “Smt. @priyankagandhi Ji reveals her solidarity with Palestine by carrying a particular bag symbolizing her help. A gesture of compassion, dedication to justice and humanity! She is evident that no person can violate the Geneva conference.”

Vadra has been vocal in condemning Israel’s crackdown on Gaza and has proven her solidarity with the Palestinian individuals.
BJP MP Sambit Patra criticised Vadra’s “Palestine” bag in a submit on X, captioned “The distinction is evident!” He shared a comparability picture that includes Priyanka Gandhi with the textual content “Woh unke hain” and an image of PM Modi with the textual content “Principal aapka hoon.”
