Azerbaijan Airways confirmed the crash in social media posts on X, Fb, and Instagram. The posts, written in Kazakh and English, acknowledged: “The Embraer 190 plane operated by Azerbaijan Airways, flight numbered J2-8243 on the Baku-Grozny route, made an emergency touchdown roughly three kilometers (1.eight miles) close to the town of Aktau. Extra data concerning the incident will likely be offered to the general public.”
