New Delhi: A day after a gathering with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, veteran actor Rajinikanth on Sunday met Samajwadi Get together president Akhilesh Yadav on the latter’s residence in Lucknow. Yadav shared a collection of images from the assembly with Rajinikanth on his social media accounts and mentioned in Hindi ‘jab dil milte hain toh log gale milte hain (when hearts meet, folks hug). It was an obvious dig at Yogi Adityanath because the 72-year-old star had taken UP CM’s blessings by touching his ft on Saturday.
“Throughout my engineering research in Mysore, the happiness I used to really feel seeing Rajinikanth ji on the display screen remains to be intact. We met in particular person 9 years again and have been mates ever since?” Akhilesh Yadav captioned his submit.

Rajinikanth, who’s basking within the success of his newest movie ‘Jailer’, mentioned he was blissful to reconnect with Yadav, whom he known as his good friend, after virtually a decade.
“9 years in the past, I had met Akhilesh at a perform in Mumbai. Since then, our friendship has continued, and we discuss over the telephone. I had come right here 5 years in the past for a capturing, however Akhilesh was not there, and I couldn’t meet him. He’s right here now and I met him,” he informed reporters.
Rajinikanth reached Lucknow on Friday to advertise his movie ‘Jailer’, which hit the screens on August 10.
Earlier on Saturday, he met Yogi Adityanath and mentioned his assembly with the UP CM was ‘excellent’.
