Kanhaiya Kumar, the Congress candidate from Northeast Delhi, was allegedly assaulted and attacked with ink on Friday by some constituents. The incident occurred exterior the AAP workplace within the New Usmanpur space, as Kahnhaiya was leaving a celebration assembly with native councillor Chhaya Sharma. In line with Sharma’s grievance, “some individuals got here and put a garland round Sh. Kanhaiya Kumar. After garlanding him, some individuals threw ink at Sh. Kanhaiya Kumar and tried to assault him. When Smt. Chhaya Sharma tried to intervene, they misbehaved and threatened her.”
Kanhaiya claimed in a press release that the assault was ordered by Manoj Tiwari, a rival candidate for the constituency. He claimed that Tiwari, the sitting MP, is annoyed together with his rising reputation and despatched “goons” to assault him. He said that the general public will reply to the violence by voting on Might 25. Polling within the nationwide capital will happen on Might 25 within the sixth part of voting.
