At Least 40 Killed In Contemporary Gunmen Assault In North-Central Nigeria


At the very least 40 individuals died on Tuesday in an assault by gunmen on Zurak village in north-central Plateau state of Nigeria. The conflict between herders and farmers are quite common within the area, as per report by Reuters. In a fight by authorities seven assailants have been neutralised whereas fleeing gang killed 9 individuals and burnt down a number of homes. 

In response to a report by Reuters quoting Plateau police spokesperson Alfred Alabo, the armed males, regionally often called bandits, attacked Zurak and Dakai villages late Monday whereas fleeing an “aggressive onslaught” by safety brokers within the Bangalala forest of Wase native authorities space.
