New Delhi: The Meteorological Division (IMD) raised an ‘orange’ alert for the nationwide capital because the monsoon arrived and areas are prone to witness rainfall, and thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds. The climate division predicted heavy rainfall for the remoted areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya for the approaching few days.
