Srinagar: The Shri Amarnath Yatra has set a brand new report, with over one lakh pilgrims visiting the holy shrine of Lord Shiva within the first 5 days for the reason that yatra started on June 29. “A complete of 30,586 pilgrims from varied components of the nation and the globe paid obeisance on the holy cave of Lord Shiva until July 3, the fifth day of the yatra, from the dual tracks of Baltal and Nunwan-Pahalgam,” an official reported.
The earlier 12 months noticed the one-lakh mark reached on the tenth day of the pilgrimage. This 12 months, the numbers have surged, with the whole reaching 1,05,282 in simply 5 days, surpassing all earlier data.
The three,888-meter-high cave shrine, one of the crucial revered in Hinduism and a part of the Char Dham pilgrimage, is positioned within the deep Himalayas of northern India.
The yatra commenced beneath tight safety, with a couple of lakh safety personnel deployed to protect the pilgrims on each routes to the holy cave. Moreover, over 132 free langars (group kitchens) have been established by varied spiritual organizations from Lakhanpur to the holy cave to serve the pilgrims.
The 52-day-long pilgrimage will conclude on August 19, coinciding with the auspicious event of Shravan Poornima, which marks the competition of Raksha Bandhan.
