AR Rahman recalled the time when a drunk guitarist questioned his music abilities and it took his seven years to maneuver on from it.
AR Rahman, the worldwide music icon, began working at a younger age to assist his household financially. Not too long ago, in an interview with O2 India, the music composer recalled a time when his music was questioned by a drunk guitarist and his feedback labored as an eye-opener for him.

When a drunk guitarist questioned AR Rahman’s music
AR Rahman recalled a section in his life when he was working with a number of composers and began getting influenced by them. He was simply 19 when a drunk guitarist from his band questioned his music and his remark left a mark on him. He mentioned, “I went by a section the place I used to be enjoying for a few composers and I used to be in a band. This one time, once I was younger, the guitarist within the band was drunk and he turned to me and mentioned, ‘What are you enjoying? You might be enjoying movie music.’ He made a really condescending remark about my enjoying. This was in 1985 or 86 I believe.”

He added the way it took him seven years to maneuver away from the influences and mentioned, “For the time being, I didn’t realise what he meant, however weeks later, it hit me and I realised that no matter he mentioned was proper. After I thought deeply about his comment about me, I realised that I used to be getting influenced by the composers I used to be enjoying for. After this, I consciously started to maneuver away from it. And my psychological journey of figuring out ‘what will likely be my model’ started. It took me about seven years, and I utterly moved away from the influences.”
AR Rahman additional added that although the guitarist did not say something unhealthy to him, however his remark left an imprint in his coronary heart, a lot so, that it turned a constructive affect for him to maneuver away from his personal affect too. The music composer will now be composing music for Hansal Mehta’s upcoming collection Gandhi. Not solely this, he will even be composing the music for Ram Charan and Buchi Babu’s upcoming film, RC16.
