Patna: Six universities in Bihar have appointed new vice-chancellors. After session with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday, Governor-cum-Chancellor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar introduced the appointment of six vice-chancellors for varied universities within the state. The governor can be the Chancellor of the state-run universities. In line with a press release issued by the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday, the appointment of six new vice-chancellors in six universities was introduced following the suggestions of a search committee.
“Those that have been appointed as VCs are: Sanjay Kumar Choudhary (Lalit Narayan Mithila College, Darbhanga), Laxmi Niwas Pandey ( Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit College, Darbhanga), Bimlendu Shekhar Jha (B N Mandal College, Madhepura), Dinesh Chandra Rai (Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar College, Muzaffarpur), Pramendra Kumar (Jai Prakash College, Chapra) and Sharad Kumar Yadav (Aryabhatta College, Patna)”, mentioned the assertion.
It has been acknowledged that the time period of the newly appointed vice-chancellors shall be for a interval of three years from the date of assuming workplace. On this regard, a notification has been issued by the Governor’s Secretariat. Earlier within the day, the Chief Minister of Bihar had mentioned this matter with the Governor on the Raj Bhavan.
