Cant Jeopardise Careers Of Two Lakh College students: Supreme Court docket Refuses To Postpone NEET-PG Examination

New Delhi: The Supreme Court docket on Friday refused a plea in search of postpone of the NEET-PG examination, set for August 11. The request argued that candidates had been assigned cities that have been extraordinarily inconvenient for journey.

A bench consisting of Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra acknowledged that it jeopardizes the careers of two lakh college students for 5 people.

“How can we postpone such an examination. Mr Sanjay Hegde, these days individuals simply come asking to postpone the examination. It is not an ideal world. We’re not educational specialists,” the bench stated, PTI reported.

“As a matter of precept, we is not going to reschedule the examination. There are two lakh college students and 4 lakh dad and mom who will weep over the weekend if we postpone it. We can not put the careers of so many candidates in jeopardy. We have no idea who’s behind these petitions,” the bench stated.

Senior advocate Sanjay Hegde, showing for the petitioners, argued that rescheduling the NEET-PG examination is important because of the overlap of one other examination happening within the morning and one within the afternoon.

The plea acknowledged that many candidates have been allotted cities which are extraordinarily inconvenient for journey.  It stated the check cities have been allotted on July 31 and the precise centres can be declared on August 8.
