The air high quality in Delhi worsened to the ‘extreme’ class on Wednesday morning, as a skinny layer of smog coated elements of the town, lowering visibility and inflicting the air high quality index (AQI) to drop to hazardous ranges.
The air high quality index had remained within the ‘extreme plus’ class for the previous two days.
In keeping with the Central Air pollution Management Board (CPCB), the nationwide capital recorded an Air High quality Index (AQI) at 424 as of 9 am immediately, inserting it within the ‘extreme’ class.
As per the SAFAR-India (System of Air High quality and Climate Forecasting and Analysis), the AQI for Anand Vihar was recorded at 454, Bawana at 459, CRRI Mathura Highway at 392, DTU at 418, Dwarka Sector-Eight at 440, ITO at 412, Jahangirpuri at 462, Lodhi Highway at 382, Mundka at 465, Narela 453, North Campus at 421, Punjabi bagh at 446, RK Puram at 425, Shadipur at 421 and Wazirpur at 464 as of 9.00 am.
In the meantime, prepare motion continued regardless of the smog in Delhi. Visuals from New Delhi Railway Station confirmed a thick haze protecting the realm. The Railways reported that 13 trains had been working late, and 9 trains had been rescheduled as a result of smog.
