A Ranchi courtroom on Wednesday directed {that a} summons be issued to former enterprise companions of ex-Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni in a dishonest case.
Dhoni filed a case towards his former enterprise companions accusing them of duping him of round Rs 16 crore by not honouring a contract to determine cricket academies, in accordance with the cricketer’s lawyer.

The case was filed in October 2023 towards two administrators of an organization underneath Part 406 (felony breach of belief) and 420 (dishonest) of the IPC, Dhoni’s lawyer Dayanand Singh advised PTI.
He claimed that the 2 have opened academies in eight to 10 locations in Dhoni’s identify with out sharing cash with the cricketer, inflicting losses of Rs 16 crore to the previous India skipper.

The companions have been accused of establishing academies with out Dhoni’s information and with out making any fee to him.
The authority letter offered to them was revoked on August 15, 2021, Singh added.
