Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar mentioned on Tuesday that exit polls are inflicting distractions and emphasised that this is a matter for the press to mirror on and focus on.
Reacting to the current failure of exit polls to foretell the outcomes of the Haryana Meeting and Lok Sabha elections, he mentioned, “A significant distortion is being created attributable to exit polls and the expectations they set. This can be a matter for the press to mirror on, particularly the digital media. In the previous few elections, a number of issues have occurred concurrently.”
