Encounter Erupts In J&Okay’s Poonch; High Terror Commander Trapped With Two Militants

An encounter is ongoing between safety forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Sunday morning. A high commander of a terror group is reportedly among the many three militants trapped within the village.

A conflict between safety forces and terrorists is at present ongoing within the Pathanateer space of the Mendhar sector in Poonch, following gunfire reported final night time.

Safety forces initiated a cordon and search operation within the village after receiving intelligence on the presence of terrorists, PTI reported, citing an nameless official. This led to the outbreak of a gunfight.
