Japan Earthquake: A robust earthquake struck off Japan’s southern coast on Thursday, triggering a tsunami advisory. The Japan Meteorological Company stated the quake registered magnitude 7.1 and was centred off the japanese coast of Japan’s southern primary island of Kyushu at a depth of about 30 km (18.6 miles). It issued a tsunami advisory, predicting waves of as much as 1 metre (3.Three toes) alongside the southern coast of Kyushu and close by island of Shikoku.
Operators of nuclear crops on Kyushu and Shikoku stated they have been checking to see if there was any harm to them. Japan’s NHK public tv stated there have been studies of damaged home windows on the Miyazaki airport close to the epicentre.
