Altogether 43 individuals, together with 37 youngsters, drowned and three others went lacking whereas taking holy dips in rivers and ponds in separate incidents in the course of the ‘Jivitputrika’ pageant in Bihar, the state authorities stated on Thursday. The incidents occurred in 15 districts of the state in the course of the pageant held on Wednesday. Through the ‘Jivitputrika’ pageant, ladies quick for the well-being of their youngsters and each take holy dips.
“A complete of 43 our bodies have been recovered to this point. Additional search operation is on,” an announcement issued by the Catastrophe Administration Division (DMD) stated. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar introduced an exgratia of Rs four lakh for the following of kin of the deceased.
The method of offering the exgratia has begun and relations of eight deceased have already acquired it, the assertion stated.
“The incidents of drowning have been reported from East and West Champaran, Nalanda, Aurangabad, Kaimur, Buxar, Siwan, Rohtas, Saran, Patna, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Gopalganj and Arwal districts.
