In a heated debate, the Himachal Pradesh Meeting handed the Himachal Pradesh Legislative (Allowances and Pension) Modification Invoice, 2024, on Wednesday. The invoice goals to disclaim pension advantages to MLAs disqualified beneath the anti-defection legislation, to discourage political turncoats.

Whereas addressing the Meeting, Chief Minister Sukhu praised Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania for decisive motion towards the defectors.

As per the assertion of the Invoice, which was tabled within the Home by the Chief Minister, there is no such thing as a provision within the Himachal Pradesh Legislative (Allowances and Pension) Act, 1971, to discourage defection by legislators beneath the Tenth Schedule of the Structure of India.
