New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to former PM and Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his loss of life anniversary and stated that the late chief performed a pivotal position in boosting the nation`s progress and in taking it to the 21st century in a variety of sectors. Taking to X, previously often known as Twitter, PM Modi stated that the nation has benefitted enormously from Vajpayee’s management.

He performed a pivotal position in boosting our nation`s progress and in taking it to the 21st century in a variety of sectors,” the PM stated in a tweet.

The PM accompanied by prime BJP leaders and Union Ministers visited ‘Sadaiv Atal’ Memorial the place he paid floral tribute to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his loss of life anniversary.

Born in Gwalior in 1924, Vajpayee was the face of the BJP for many years and was the primary non-Congress prime minister to have served a full time period in workplace. Vajpayee served because the Prime Minister of India from Could 16, 1996, to June 1, 1996, and once more from 19 March 1998 to 22 Could 2004. He additionally served as India`s Exterior Affairs Minister within the cupboard of Prime Minister Moraji Desai from 1977 to 1979.
He handed away at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi on August 16 in 2018. After coming to energy in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an effort to honour the previous Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna recipient, declared that December 25 could be celebrated as Good Governance Day yearly, his birthday.
