The Israel Air Drive (IAF) carried out an intelligence-based strike within the Humanitarian Space in Khan Yunis and eradicated Hassam Shahwan, the Head of Hamas Inside Safety Forces in southern Gaza, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) stated on Thursday.
The IDF additional stated that Shahwan was chargeable for growing intelligence assessments in coordination with components of Hamas’ army wing in assaults on the IDF in Gaza.
“The Head of Hamas Inside Safety Forces in southern Gaza, the terrorist Hassam Shahwan, was eradicated by the IAF in an intelligence-based strike within the Humanitarian Space in Khan Yunis. Shahwan was chargeable for growing intelligence assessments in coordination with components of Hamas’ army wing in assaults on the IDF in Gaza. The Hamas Inside Safety Forces have carried out violent interrogations of the Gazan inhabitants, violating human rights and suppressing dissent inside the group,” IDF stated in a submit on X.
Israel has been conducting army operations on Hamas operatives within the area.
Earlier this week, the IDF had confirmed the killing of Hamas’ Nukhba Platoon commander, Abd al-Hadi Sabah, in a latest drone strike. As per the IDF, Sabah had led the assault on Kibbutz Nir Ouncesthroughout the October 7, 2023, bloodbath.
On December 30, the IDF had said the elimination of six Hamas terrorists who participated within the brutal October 7 bloodbath in Israel.
