One Border Safety Pressure (BSF) jawan was injured following an unprovoked firing incident by terrorists within the Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
The gunfire was reported round 2:35 AM on Wednesday within the Kanachak space.
The officers knowledgeable that the troops within the area are on excessive alert.
In an official assertion, the BSF stated, “On 11 September at about 02:35 AM, an incident of unprovoked firing within the Akhnoor space from throughout the border occurred which was befittingly responded to by the BSF. One BSF personnel sustained accidents in Pak firing; Troops are on excessive alert.”
