A tragic incident unfolded in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district on Saturday, ensuing within the demise of a CRPF personnel and injuring one other, police stated.
The IED blast happened round 2.30 PM close to Vangram Marangponga forest in Chotanagra police station space when an anti-Naxal operation was underway, they added, PTI reported.
Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar knowledgeable that the Improvised Explosive Gadget (IED) exploded throughout a search operation, planted by Maoists to focus on safety forces.
They had been airlifted to Ranchi for remedy, he added.
“Mandal, a sub-inspector in CRPF’s 193 battalion, succumbed to his harm throughout remedy,” Shekhar stated.
