New Delhi: After the vandalism on the RG Kar Medical Faculty and Hospital protest website on the eve of the 78th Independence Day, August 14, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the Communist Get together of India (Marxist) CPI(M) and the Bharatiya Janata Get together (BJP) of being answerable for the incident.
Whereas addressing a rally on Friday, CM Banerjee urged the CBI to speed up its investigation into the incident. She stated, “I do know the vandalism at RG Kar was orchestrated by CPI(M) and BJP.”
Banerjee criticised CPI(M) and BJP and stated “There are skeletons scattered throughout Bengal. Everyone knows this. All their grandstanding is meaningless. If that they had proven real sympathy and compassion, I would not have to say something. However now I’ll communicate out… Who was answerable for the Bilkis Bano case? Who was behind the Unnao incident? Who was behind the Hathras incident? Simply yesterday, in Madhya Pradesh, a Dalit lady was focused. Who was accountable? In Manipur, ladies have been paraded bare for a month and raped–under whose rule did that occur? Who tortured the wrestlers? Was there any justice?”
