New Delhi: The Municipal Company of Delhi (MCD) sealed 13 illegally operated basement teaching centres in Previous Rajinder Nagar on Sunday. The crackdown follows the tragic dying of three IAS aspirants, who had been trapped in a flooded basement at Rau’s IAS Research Centre throughout heavy rainfall. The MCD’s assertion revealed that these teaching centres had been working in basements in violation of laws.
After the unlucky incident on Suturday night time, Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi has instructed the MCD Commissioner to take speedy motion in opposition to all teaching centres working commercially in basements throughout Delhi that violate constructing bye-laws.

On Saturday, three UPSC aspirants: Shreya Yadav from Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana, and Nivin Dalwin from Ernakulam, Kerala, they misplaced their lives after a library within the basement of Rau’s IAS centre flooded as a result of heavy rainfall. The incident reportedly brought about the failure of the only biometric entry and exit level on the teaching centre.
