Khunti: A 16-year-old tribal lady was allegedly gang-raped when she was returning dwelling from her college in Jharkhand’s Khunti district, police mentioned on Friday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday close to Nationwide Freeway 75, connecting Ranchi with Chaibasa, within the Murhu Police Station space, a senior officer mentioned.
“An FIR has been lodged on Thursday and individuals concerned within the crime are being recognized. They’ll quickly be arrested. She had undergone a medical check,” Khunti Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Varun Rajak informed PTI.
The lady, in her assertion to the police, mentioned that round 10 males dragged her to roadside bushes when she was returning dwelling from college on Wednesday afternoon and 5 of them raped her.
The sufferer informed the police that she fainted and later discovered herself bare, the officer mentioned.
Search operations have been being performed to arrest the individuals concerned within the crime, he added.
