Modi Authorities Approves Hike In Sugarcane Procurement Costs Amid Farmers Protest

New Delhi: The Cupboard Committee on Financial Affairs led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wenesday authorised the Honest and Remunerative Value (FRP) of sugarcane at Rs 340/quintal at a sugar restoration charge of 10.25%, information company ANI quoted as saying CCEA stated.The choice by the Narendra Modi-led NDA authorities comes amid the continuing agitation of the farmers. Addressing a press convention, I&B Minister Anurag Thakur stated, “It has been determined to repair the value for the upcoming sugarcane season, within the interval from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025, to make sure the truthful and cheap worth of sugarcane to the farmers by the sugar mills.”
