The CCTV footage from the bar visited by Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule’s son, Sanket and his pals earlier than his Audi crashed into a number of automobiles is lacking, police stated.
“The CCTV footage of the time after they had been at La Horee Bar (earlier than the crash) is lacking. We seized their DVR on Wednesday and have despatched it for forensic evaluation,” the Sitabuldi police station official stated, PTI reported.
Sanket Bawankule’s Audi, reportedly pushed by his buddy Arjun Hawre, hit many automobiles in Ramdaspeth early Monday and in addition injured two folks on a moped.
The Digital Video Recorder of the place has been seized, officers stated, PTI reported.
Occupants of a Polo automotive hit by the Audi chased it to a T Level in Mankapur, apprehended Hawre and Ronit Chittwamwar, and handed them over to the police. Hawre was arrested on Monday evening and later launched on bail.
On Tuesday, the La Horee supervisor had refused to provide the CCTV footage and the digital tools to a probe crew, he stated.
“The bar administration relented after it was threatened with authorized motion. Nonetheless, we realised there isn’t any footage since Sunday evening. Additional probe is underway,” he added.
Police added, he consumed liquor and a few rooster and mutton dishes on the bar.
