After spending greater than 9 months aboard the Worldwide Area Station (ISS), NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams are set to return to Earth. The Nationwide Aeronautics and Area Administration (NASA) introduced that each astronauts will return on Tuesday, March 18, night (GMT).
Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams, together with one other American astronaut and a Russian cosmonaut, shall be transported again to Earth aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, which arrived on the ISS early Sunday.
“NASA and SpaceX met on Sunday to evaluate climate and splashdown situations off Florida’s coast for the return of the company’s Crew-9 mission from the Worldwide Area Station. Mission managers are focusing on an earlier Crew-9 return alternative based mostly on favorable situations forecasted for the night of Tuesday, March 18,” NASA stated in a launched assertion.
