New Delhi: The Congress has raised questions over the timing of the discharge of the 15th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, a money switch scheme for farmers, on Wednesday. The celebration questioned if it was a deliberate transfer to affect the voters within the upcoming meeting elections in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, the place polling can be held in two days.
The PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, and offers Rs 6,000 per yr to eligible farmers in three equal instalments.
