HYDERABAD: Stress flared up in a village in Telangana’s Vikarabad district on Monday after some villagers protesting the acquisition of their lands for a proposed ‘pharma village’ allegedly attacked the autos of the district authorities.
The incident occurred in Lagacharla village throughout a public listening to on the proposed ‘pharma village’.
Tv visuals confirmed a gaggle of locals elevating slogans and arguing with District Collector Prateek Jain and different officers over the land acquisition concern. The Collector was surrounded by protesters however managed to board a car. The group chased the officers’ autos, pelting it with stones, and damaging the home windows.
The proposed ‘pharma village’ includes establishing pharmaceutical models within the space.
