Ram Mandir Inauguration: Jamia Millia Islamia and its affiliated colleges, in addition to Delhi College have introduced a half-day closure till 2:30 pm on January 22 because of the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Official notifications from these universities launched on Friday state that the varsities and related establishments, facilities and workplaces will observe a half-day on Monday.

“The Officiating Vice-Chancellor, JMI, in view of the Authorities of India vide Workplace Memorandum F.No 12/7/2023 JCA authorities of India has authorized that the college and its maintained establishments/centres/workplaces together with Jamia colleges shall stay closed for half day until 2.30 pm on January 22, 2024 on account of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya,” the notification by JMI mentioned.
