A number of districts in Tamil Nadu declared a vacation for faculties as heavy rains lashed the state on Thursday. Colleges will stay closed in Coimbatore, Dindigul and Madurai, as per orders issued by the respective district collectors, ANI reported. The meteorological division has forecast widespread rainfall in a lot of the districts on Thursday. The IMD has issued an ‘orange alert’ for a number of districts.
