IMPHAL: Three individuals have been allegedly shot lifeless and 5 others injured in Manipur’s Thoubal district on Monday night, following which curfew was reimposed within the 5 valley districts of the state, officers stated. Gunmen, who’re but to be recognized, arrived in camouflage attire within the Lilong Chingjao space, and opened fireplace focusing on locals, they stated.
Whereas three individuals died on the spot, 5 others have been injured. These injured have been admitted to a hospital, officers stated. After the assault, the enraged locals set three four-wheelers on fireplace. It was not instantly clear to whom these automobiles belonged.
Following the contemporary violence, curfew was reimposed in Thoubal, Imphal East and Imphal West, Kakching and Bishnupur districts, officers stated. In a video message, Chief Minister N Biren Singh condemned the violence, and appealed to the individuals, significantly the residents of Lilong, for sustaining peace.
