The tragic incident passed off in Uttar Pradesh on Friday when a truck collided with a tractor-trolley, ensuing within the demise of ten folks, police mentioned, The tractor-trolley was carrying 13 labourers getting back from building work.
The incident occurred round 1 AM on G T Highway, between Kachhawan and Mirzamurad, close to the Mirzapur-Varanasi border, in line with Superintendent of Police (Mirzapur) Abhinandan.
“The tractor trolley, carrying 13 labourers who have been getting back from building work in Bhadohi district, was hit from behind by the truck that had gone out of the motive force’s management,” the SP mentioned, PTI reported.
On being alerted, the SP and different senior officers rushed to the scene to supervise the rescue operations.
“Of the 13 injured, 10 died whereas the three others have been taken to the hospital on the IIT-BHU, the place their situation is said to be regular,” the officer mentioned.
Police have despatched the our bodies to the mortuary, Abhinandan said, including {that a} case has been registered on the Kachhawan police station and additional authorized proceedings are underway.
Authorities are conducting a radical investigation into the circumstances resulting in the accident, the officer mentioned.
