Dehradun: ISRO’s Chandrayaan missions shall be included within the state’s college syllabus, stated Uttarakhand’s Greater Schooling Minister, Dhan Singh Rawat. ISRO’s lunar missions — Chandrayaan-1, Chandrayaan-2 and Chandrayaan-3 — shall be included within the college curriculum, as reported by PTI.
“Chandrayaan-Three mission has made the world realise the expertise of India’s scientists. Now we have determined to introduce the ISRO’s Chandrayaan missions within the college curriculum from class 6-12 to inculcate a scientific mood amongst our college students,” Rawat stated.
Chandrayaan-3, India’s Moon mission, efficiently landed on the lunar south pole on August 23, 2023.
Rawat shared plans to revamp 20 authorities faculties in Uttarakhand by offering them with new infrastructure and reworking them into research-oriented mannequin faculties in alignment with the Nationwide Schooling Coverage 2020. Moreover, new PG blocks shall be established for Arts and Science colleges in six chosen authorities faculties as a part of this initiative.

The state authorities has allotted over Rs 159 crore for infrastructure growth within the chosen faculties. Out of this quantity, Rs 129 crore shall be devoted to the reconstruction and enhancement of 20 chosen authorities faculties to remodel them into research-based mannequin faculties.
